The Supervisory Board at Kabel Deutschland GmbH
The Supervisory Board of Kabel Deutschland appoints the members of the Management Board and oversees the work of management. To this end, the Supervisory Board regularly receives reports on the business strategy and the current development of business. The Supervisory Board can also request additional reports from the Management Board.In the case of decisions with far-reaching consequences for the development of business, the Supervisory Board must give its approval in advance. It does not assume any management responsibilities and does not get involved with the management of regular business.
The Supervisory Board consists of twelve members led by Prof. Dr. Heinz Riesenhuber, a former German Federal Minister for Research and Technology.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Kabel Deutschland GmbH
Heinz Riesenhuber was appointed as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Kabel Deutschland GmbH in December 2004. Riesenhuber has been a member of the German federal parliament since 1976 without interruption. From October 1982 to January 1993 he was a member of the federal government under Chancellor Kohl. Until 1982, Riesenhuber was managing director of Synthomer Chemie GmbH Frankfurt, and before that held the same function at Erzgesellschaft mbH (Metallgesellschaft AG), also in Frankfurt. Heinz Riesenhuber has a doctorate in chemistry and is an honorary professor at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt. Internationally, Riesenhuber enjoys an excellent reputation as an expert in all topics relating to science and technology.
